This is blog of a woman who didn't know what she wanted and so chased after dreams and men in search of the answers...drunken hilarity ensued. Then one day she met a man who was everything she wanted, but he wasn't so sure. Then she did the unthinkable; after they broke up she gave him this blog address and she let him into her mind as well as her heart. Unbelievably, even after sorting through the sordid archives of failed relationships, one night stands and her lusty (and embarassing) pursuit to secure the heart of a certain young line cook, John somehow managed to fall in love with her too. Melina and John were married a little over six months after they started dating, running away to Las Vegas to seal the deal. You can imagine what the over/under bet was to see if they'd even make it a year!! Over a year later and they are still going strong...this blog has become their story. Need to tell me something? I Love ___________ (caution: the blank changes often)
I was just over at my mom's house in her attic and I was digging around for things, since she told me to "sort through your crap because everything in the attic is yours and it's all crap!" So reluctantly I went up there. When I was younger I used to hang out in my attic because it was over the garage and I had a cool view outside...so it was kind of a hangout for me. And lo and behold what should I see? I found my cave girl scribblings that said, Mr and Mrs. James ________ and, Melina and James Forever!!! And Melina ________, and Melina loves James more than life itself!!! I'm not exaggerating the three exclamation marks either. The sweaty, dusty me laughed at the fervent love that I held for James (of the 5th grade naughty note). I busted up into even louder gaffaws when I saw that I crossed a couple of the James out and replaced his name with my next door neighbor's name (which is another funny story when I think of it), and then Josh's name was crossed off and replaced with Christian's name (a kid I went to school with from 4th grade-to graduation). Seeing how fair is only fair, I dug around in my toybox up there in the attic (shaped like an elephant and having several random spots of red and blue on it) and found the construction crayon that I used to scribe my heart's desires...and of course, I crossed off Christian's name and wrote Drk's name. I added a little "true love always" symbol just for good measure.

Now that I got that off my chest, I think I should tell my story about my next door neighbor...bear with me, it's a trilogy.
